With restaurants like Thrive, you don't have to worry about negatively impacting the environment! Located in Boulder, Colorado this fully raw vegan restaurant really cares about mother earth. The restaurant is zero waste and completely compostable. It was clear from the moment we stepped through the door, that energy is very important. The restaurant was covered with precious and semi-precious stones inlaid in tables and as decor. The surroundings were colorful and eye-catching. As we stepped into the restaurant we were greeted with the aroma of food being dehydrated and marinating, it was glorious! The food itself was focused on health and was free of sugars and excess amounts of salt, which really allowed the flavors to shine through. The spices and seasonings were strong and you could feel them at work cleansing your body. The atmosphere of Thrive felt very homey and welcoming as you could hear little children's laughter from outside, and soft music from within. Newly raw vegans might find it a bit intimidating/too natural for their tastes as it is very earthy. We personly enjoyed it and found their waste free practices refreshing.
If you ever find yourself in Tulsa, Oklahoma you simply must stop by this little gem! This fully raw vegan restaurant located right in Tulsa has its very own yoga studio. The energy of the place was amazing, very calm, peaceful, and welcoming. Very different from the hustle and bustle of the city right outside its doors. The food, juices, and smoothies were simply amazing! The menu may not have tons of options, but the options they do have are super flavorful and filling. You don't have to worry about cross contamination as the restaurant is gluten free as well as raw vegan. The staff at the restaurant were kind, friendly and very accommodating. It was clear that they loved food and that love could be tasted and felt through their food. They did a superb job of preparing the food, and the presentation was simple yet appealing. We liked this restaurant so much we visited it twice, once on our way to Utah, and again on the return trip. On the way back we realize that we would arrive at the location after a little bit after hours, because of this we called ahead and the owner was so sweet and said that they would be able to accommodate for us, and they did. They stayed open a full hour after closing to feed us! It seems we are not the only people who love this restaurant, as they will be opening another location in November. All of us in our family have a similar taste so we often order the same thing, thus the lack of variety in the food pictured. All of the photos were taken by us.
