Traveling Raw Vegan & Gluten Free

This review is a bit different from the ones we usually do. This is a product review. We were recently sent some mystic chocolate, an Artisan Stone-Ground Raw Chocolate. The Chocolates are Organic, Vegan, and Paleo friendly. The chocolates themselves are gluten-free, but they are processed in the environment that has gluten, thus cross-contamination is possible. The companies goal for this year is to transfer to a gluten-free facility. We received the chakra set, which contained is a small box of seven pieces of chocolate. The chocolates were bite-sized, and perfectly sweet without being overpowering. They are made of Raw Cacao Butter, Raw Cacao Powder, Coconut Palm Sugar, and Medicine Flower Extracts and Essences. All of the flavors were amazing! We really enjoyed Root and Crown. Root has a nice bite to it, and Crown was light and airy. Overall the whole experience was positive.

We visited Cafe Gratitude at least half a dozen times! This restaurant is 100% Organic and Plant-based. Most of the food is Gluten free, but they do have the option of whole wheat bread for sandwiches (any food made with gluten, is made in a different area of the kitchen). The food is really great and is perfect for those transitioning into eating cleaner plant-based diets. We have found that most of the food is cooked. Cafe Gratitude has many locations, five in California (#6 is opening in Beverly Hills Spring 2017) and one is Kanas City, which is the one we visit. The area where the restaurant is located is super artsy, and that vibe flows throughout the cafe. The floor plan is super open so you can watch as the chefs prepare the food. If you are a fan of Mexican inspired food, you will love Cafe Gratitude! Think a healthier version of Cafe Rio/Chipotle tastes wise. They have a large verity of foods, everything from Pancakes to Indian curry, and everything in between.  Their Mexican/Southwest Recipes are our families favorite. They also have AMAZING smoothies (my personal favorite is beautiful) They also have this killer kale salad (It's called pure). After having it at the restaurant, I found the recipe online for it, I then recreated it. It was amazing and has become a family favorite. Comment down below if you would like us to post the recipe. We always seem to be at this restaurant late at night, thus the poor photo quality.

UPDATE: We have visited this restaurant recently and have found that the quality in food has decreased. Also, the restaurant has gotten more sloppy about cross contamination.

There is finally a Juice Bar to visit in Little Rock! Located on Kavanaugh, this juice bar offers a verity of Juices, Smoothies, Energy Shots, and Snacks. The location is in a great area and the bar itself had an uplifting vibe as well as a clean environment. The juices are great, and they also offer juice cleanses. Be sure to check them out! Our personal favorites Juices are Green Goddess, Bee Well, Skin Glow, and Liver Cleanse as well as the occasional nut milk. Root Juice has 2 locations in the Dallas, Texas area and one in Atlanta, Georgia.

This little Juicery is simply adorable! Located at the Riverwoods Shopping Center in Provo, Utah, this place is in an awesome location and the juices are divine. We have been there four or five times and the juices have been fresh and tasty every time. We were shopping in the Riverwoods and found it very convenient to be able to pick up something fresh while browsing the stores or before heading to yoga class (There is an awesome Yoga Studio in that shopping center, shoutout to 3B Yoga). Our favorite juices were C1, R1, and N2.  The Juicery was not a full shop, but a window that you walk up to, with an employee in the back and a fridge with the juices. The juices are not juiced on location, they are juiced at a different faculty and brought fresh each morning. The packaging for the juices is clean and contemporary, which makes them easy to photograph. There is a small outdoor seating area, where you can sit and enjoy your juices. Overall this is our favorites Juicery to visit in Utah.
